Born in Providence, RI and raised in Killingly, CT, Mike Costa was exposed to many different genres of music at a young age. His father listened to Rock and Country, his mother Disco, Funk, and Pop, his uncle Hard Rock and Metal, and his maternal grandfather Big Band, Swing, and Easy Listening. Much of his family played music as well. His paternal grandfather and father Trombone, his mother vocals, and his uncle guitar. He started to develop a love for all different genres and styles of music, different instruments, as well as music culture and history. After learning to play guitar at age 12, he added on vocals, piano, and harmonica, which were all self taught. In 2015 he began writing and composing his own work. In 2013, he started playing open mics to gain exposure. And In 2018, he started getting his foot in the door with headlining gigs at bars and restaurants. His first EP "Blood Sweat and Tears" is currently in production. It touches on situations of everyday life, all ranging from party anthems, to love songs, to struggles of relationships and heartache. With an upcoming career on the rise, there's no telling what will happen!
